About Bestselling Author Calinda B
The
Fun Part: Calinda B was told early on that she should be a writer.
She heard frequent praise for her writing, as well as her sense of humor. Scoffing
at such admonitions and praise, she went on to pursue her life of adventure, chock
full of the things that make up a well-rounded adventurous life: music (yup, she
was a singer in a rock and roll band), dance (even performed hip hop in Russia),
rock climbing (ever hung from a rock wall a few stories up? Yikes!), fire walking
(taught high-ranking Moscow fire officials how to walk the coals), kayaking, scuba
diving (she's in love with sharks), travel, and falling in love again and again.
Even more Fun: Don't I look happy in that picture? I had just met country superstar
Blake Shelton - that's right, the man himself. I had a major crush on the guy in 2011 and I don't even like country music - I've tried, listening to it with an open mind, really I have! I began writing about it back in August of 2011 on my blog. Why a crush on Blake Shelton? My hillbilly bones were crushed to smithereens when I left the country. Those darn bones began to heal in late August. I wrote about that, too. I contemplated going on the Blake Shelton cruise much to the chagrin of my sweetie pie. In March of this year, I was certain I was going to go on the cruise, just to see Blake Shelton - I don't like cruises and remember I don't like country music - but I adore Blake Shelton! And then it happened...my travel agent friend said she got us back stage passes and away I flew.
Truth is, he's a really nice guy, seems to
have a great sense of humor (he laughed at my jokes) and, he even high fived me and told me I''m going to be a star (Sweetie, you're going to be a star!). Want to read the story? Meeting Blake Shelton
